CO-ACTIVE COACHING
I completed the Co-Active Professional Coach Certification in March 2021 and earned the prestigious designation of Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), respected worldwide as the gold standard of coaching.
As the largest and most established in-person professional coach training organization in the world, the Co-Active Training Institute, short CTI, has trained over 62,000 coaches, including employees in more than a third of the Fortune 100 companies. It is widely recognized as the most rigorous professional coach training and certification program in the industry.
This is why I want to write my 1st blog post about what Co-Active Coaching is.
Co Active coaching is not meant as a method to solve problems, it is an inner journey of discovery and exploration.
The client is naturally creative resourceful and whole and with me as a partner she/he will develop own ways to deal with whatever the topic of the session is.
Co-Active Coaching is a particular way to coach. It offers a unique way to listen, explore, raise awareness, make choices, and to build on what was learned along the way. It is a proven framework for transformative conversations at work and in everyday life.
The Co-Active Training Institute operates on the belief that everyone is continually moving on a journey of transformation. “Co” stands for the alliance between coach and coachee and the way they work together. Co-active relationships are collaborative, honest, cooperative, and co-created, but also active and engaged. That is what “active” stands for. Every session ends with a task to ensure that the learning continues and the learned is engrained. Coach and coachee are in this together, “co-operating” as coachees take action.
The set of skills required of a co-active coach includes deep listening, curiosity, self-management, intuition, and the ability to raise the awareness for action. From the perspective of a Co-Active Coach the client is whole and perfect, there is nothing to be fixed. The client has everything she/he needs. Being a Co-Active Coach means to be in a state of awareness about how I am and what I do in any situation. We are in an ongoing relationship with our world – with ourselves, others, and the environment – which has an impact on our everyday life.
Co-Active is a philosophy which understands people as naturally creative, resourceful and whole.
Co-Active Coaching grows you as a leader through conversation, actions, and awareness and takes you outside your comfort zone, exploring your own boundaries. As a Co-Active Coach, I have to make sure that certain rules and qualities are pre-set. These include respect, openness, compassion, empathy, and a rigorous commitment to speaking the truth. The Co-Active Professional Coaching program has prepared me to coach anyone on any topic with confidence, supported by the Co-Active Model, known as the most flexible and scientifically proven model in the coaching world.
It has been a long, hard personal and professional journey that I don’t want to miss and I am excited to use my acquired expertise to help you become a better version of yourself!
